Chocolate 'spoon mixed' cake with strawberry mousse STRAWBERRY OWOLOVO


  • 2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • 1 teaspoon of soda
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 4 teaspoons cocoa
  • 4 tablespoons of Owolovo strawberry mousse
  • a small piece of butter to grease the cake tin
  • breadcrumbs to sprinkle over the tin
  • 100 g of your favourite chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons of milk at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons cream at room temperature
  • Flakes/coconut for decoration

Method of preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees with the oven using a high-low function. Place the flour, eggs, baking soda, sugar, cocoa, oil, water and mousse in a bowl. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, just until combined, so that no unmixed flour remains on the bottom. Grease a small cake tin with butter and dust with breadcrumbs. Place the dough in the pan. Place the dough in the oven and bake for approx. 50 minutes until dry. Remove and cool. Melt the chocolate in a water bath, add the cream and milk and combine. Pour over and sprinkle with flaked coconut. The cake is ready, enjoy!
